We had a relaxing and uplifting time at our Wellness Workshop on Tuesday 19th March at 3pm in Jewels, Bedford Square, Houghton Regis.

We discussed how Art can help our well-being, and spent some time doodling and experimenting with ‘neurographic art’ techniques.   It was interesting thinking about whether this could enable us to calm down during stressful periods.   I found it helped me to feel more focused and relaxed; everyone’s drawing was very different, and we liked looking at each other’s doodles.

If you would like to explore the topic yourself, please feel free to download an information sheet on Neurographic Art. You can also download the worksheet from the session.

We are having a break in April, but why not join us for our next ‘Wellness Workshop at 3 o’clock’ on Tuesday 21st May, at Jewels?  We will continue to focus on techniques for reducing stress.

Rachel Honeyford

I work by providing a safe, confidential space where people can bring their feelings and thoughts and work at their own pace. My aim is to be supportive and compassionate while helping people see aspects of their situation they haven't already considered. I aim to adapt my approach to every unique individual's particular wishes, needs and circumstances. For example, I offer the opportunity to work creatively and/or look at past experiences or how someone thinks and feels in 'the here and now'.
